Padova, Italy. 85 x 135mm, set in text, from “Universi orbis descriptio ad usum navigantium.” A historical prospect of Grodno based on the Braun & Hogenberg view to the left. In 1562 a summit was held between the Russians and the Ottomans in the city: in the foreground are two opulently-dressed figures shaking hands, with their troops of cavalry behind them.
