1697 Guillaume Le Vasseur de Beauplan (mapmaker) – Jacob von Sandrart (engraver/ publisher): “Nova totius Regni Poloniæ Mag’nique Ducatus Lituaniæ..,” Nuremberg. The first edition had a portrait of King Johannes III Sobieski. In the 2nd – 6th editions, Sobieski’s portrait is replaced by one of King Augustus II, following Sobieski’s death in 1696. Both images between the 4th and 5th, with Sandrart’s address erased in the 5th state.
