López, Tomás

Geographer, cartographer, engraver and publisher who studied with d’Anville in Paris, returning to Madrid in 1760. During a 40-year career, working with both his sons (Juan and Tomas Mauricio), he produced over 500 maps. Of interest to this site: his three known maps of  Poland, described in Algimantas Muzikevičius’ research paper here.
